We got a hamster this month. This is number 6 and his name is Appa. He is still a little skiddish which is driving Midge nuts. She is amazing with animals and is trying desperately to win him over.
I have to be honest that Sundays are a little rough now that Ken is gone all day. We were used to it somewhat with him being on the high council, but it wasn't every Sunday and it wasn't all day and into the night, and then every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and most Saturdays. Throw in an occasional Friday. Well you get the idea. The reality is I have active kids, and if we stay in doors they kill each other and that isn't to conducive to feeling the spirit. So I try to plan things. There have been several times we have done service for others and that has been an awesome experience, but on this particular day we decided to take a walk along the river. The weather was beautiful and I wanted them to appreciate what they have.
Of course I forgot how tempting water is to little ones, but for the most part it worked out ok. My aunt is trying to get me to take pictures of myself for our monthly newsletter. I must admit it is easier to be behind the camera, but I think it is important to document myself and this shot was taken by one of my little ones and I think they did a good job.
You have to love Oregon falls, and we have been very lucky to have a beautiful one.

Last weekend Ken and I were able to attend the temple with our ward. The youth baptisms were scheduled on the same day and Ken and I were able to help. It was an awesome experience and I loved the fact that some of our kids were there for the first time. We had a big group and that was the first time I had ever helped the youth.

While we were at the temple the kids were in the great hands of my good buddy Tonya from the Blue House. Love Love Love this girl and her family. They were so good to my little ones and we had so much fun remembering old times and talking. Her kids are awesome and my kids loved them. They had the game Just Dance 4 and they were all having a ball playing the game.
They had just gotten this little puppy. So cute huh! I wanted to put him in my purse and sneak out with him. I don't even realize if Huck knew that he was real. I was terrified I would get a phone call that Huck had squeezed him to death. Tonya's house is decorated really cute too, and I was also scared he would break something or rearrange her furniture. Apparently he refrained himself until we arrived and took him to the Nike Store at the outlet malls where he decided to run up and down the aisles. Then he climbed onto a shelf and crawled behind the shoe boxes, and began pushing them onto the floor while he ran behind them. Yep another store we will not be entering again until he is 20.
Despite his antics we had a great time and the best part was the kids fell asleep in the car so we got to just carry them into bed.
